NEW DOGGIE TREAT RECIPES!

Thanksgiving Doggie Treats:

2lbs. ground turkey or small pieces

2 eggs

8oz. peas

3 carrots, diced

1 apple, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In mixing bowl combine all ingredients. Mix well. On a baking sheet form into the shape of large bone for fun. Bake for 45 minutes.Let cool and serve!

Frozen Yum Squares: 

They love these on hot days, serve outside and watch them play and enjoy!

1 cup water

1 cube chicken or beef bouillon (whatever the dog's favorite)

4 small pieces of chicken or beef for flavor and texture

Disolve bouillon in water and tear meat into small pieces about 1/2 inch square. Pour into an ice cube tray and freeze.Pop out whenever you are ready to use.

Good Dog goodies:

2 1/2 cups flour ( preferrably whole wheat)

1/2 cup powdered dry milk

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. brown sugar or honey

6 Tbsp. meat or bacon drippings...cold from refridgerator, not melted or soft

1 egg, slightly beaten

1/2 cup ice water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly oil a cookie sheet. Combine flour, dry milk, 1/2 tsp. garlic powder and sugar. Cut in meat drippings until it resembles corn meal. Mix in egg. Add enough water so that the mixture forms a ball. Using your fingers, pat the dough onto the cookie sheet to 1/2" thick. Cut dough into squares appropriate for your dogs size. Prick each cookie with a fork. Bake 25-30 minutes. Remove from tray and cool. Store in airtight container.

Doggie Birthday cake

2c flour, 2(6 oz) cans of premium Hi Protein dog food, 1/2c sugar, 1/2c oil, 4 eggs, 4 tsp baking powder, milk for consistency

Mix everything together and add milk till you have your cake batter consistency.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 min. in a 9x13 in. pan

 

Glaze for top of cake: optional

Mix some powdered sugar with milk or water until you have a smooth runny glaze.Add a couple drops of food color for the occasion & mix well.Pour over top of cake. add candle(s) and sing Happy Birthday to your favorite canine!

I also added sprinkles for looks. If you don't want them to have it it's easy to take off when you dish it up to them.
